I often find traveling exhausting and a bit overwhelming when you're trying to do so much in such a short period of time. Not to mention the constant stresses and pressures that come along with young adult, college student life. I've never been one to particularly care for taking care of myself (I know such a young, immature thing to say) but now that I have had time on my hands I decided to start putting a little extra effort into
me time. One of my favorite realizations with this has been that I LOVE yoga. I find it hard to motivate myself to go once a week but I always feel really accomplished when I do. Even if I can't get myself up to the class every week I try to do a bit at
home with some simple routines I've found on
Pinterest. I have also learned to appreciate a
good face mask while chatting with girl friends. There is something so
Friends about it, I can imagine Monica, Pheobe, and Rachel doing it and I get a kick out of it. One thing that my mother has always told me is that lavender is great for relaxation and helping you fall asleep. Naturally, I didn't pay attention... until recently. I bought a
lavender neck pillow and it is the perfect thing to sit down and unwind with while wearing a face mask and binge watching your favorite show. I hope you find some solace in this and use it to
treat yo self to some personal time!
