My study abroad wardrobe
I have a best friend studying abroad in the fall and I've been wanting to compile a list for her of the things I use most here and what I wish I left at home. Every blog you read and every list you find on Pinterest will tell you not to overpack, but the one thing I did was overpack. You really overestimate how much you need for a year or a semester abroad! I've found that you really learn to prioritize saving money and being able to spend it on eating out while traveling instead of paying for extra luggage. So instead of using the space to wear a different outfit in every city, I save some space and use that for buying souvenirs. Especially in the Fall and Winter seasons you end up wearing your coat in every photo so you never even see what you're wearing. My number one tip would be to bring things that can all go together. Neutral colors, comfy options, and different colored pants go way further in changing up outfits than different tops do. Don't forget you will probably want to buy a few things on your travels so you will never be without more than enough of what you need. You can also view my Pinterest board and see what others have had to say on this as well! *this list is based on my year abroad and probably too much for one semester abroad*
